Will insect repellent help to keep my child from getting head lice?

No.

Head lice are not insects. Will insect repellent help to keep my child from getting head lice?
No, it won't work. Lice jump from one head to another when kids are playing closely together. They're also spread from kids sharing hats, hairbrushes, etc.

Unfortunately, they are frequently just a fact of life unless you keep your kid away from all other kids. But they aren't that hard to get rid of, so don't worry about it.Will insect repellent help to keep my child from getting head lice?
no, but using a tea tree shampoo occasually will sometimes prevent head lice.
Not likely.

Besides are you actually going to spray that stuff in your childs hair?

Yuck
God no. You`ll give him a skin rash.
i dont think that will work.
