I have always given my dogs brewers yeast and garlic tablets. You can find them at dept stores, grocery and drug stores as well as pet supply houses. I haven't had a problem with fleas or ticks on them. Plus, the dogs think the tablets are treats and beg for them.
I work at a groomers and they dip pregnant dogs in the same dip as the others they say it is safe for everything over 12 weeks. They told me pregnant dogs can get dipped up until 3 weeks of having there puppys. The dip has to have time to wear off before the puppys start to nurse. Check with your local groomer.
Check with your vet.. He'll have something that is safe for pregnant dogs and young puppies.
If you want a natural way you can get lavender oil mix some with distilled water and put it in a spray bottle and spray her. Ticks and fleas hate lavender. Before you do anything ask your vet first. Good luck;^)
