Anyone know a good spider repellent using things around the house?

As winter is coming nearer i find alot of spiders taking refuge around the house, does anyone know of any homemade remedies or any things i can find in my cupboards to repel them. thanks.Anyone know a good spider repellent using things around the house?
First off, are you sure you want to get rid of spiders? Spiders are usually beneficial creatures because they eat other pests.

However, people fear and hate spiders more than most other critters in their homes so it is understandable that you want to eradicate them.

You can get rid of spiders by removing other bugs and insects from your home. This can be accomplished by removing rotting food and garbage and keeping your outside lights off.

You can pick spiders up with a paper towel or vacuum them up. Spider traps are available to catch spiders but you must be careful where you place them.

There are a host of well known remedies that will get rid of spiders. Washing your windows with ammonia works, as does putting hedge apples around doors and windows.

Finally, spreading cedar chips and eucalyptus leaves around your house is a pleasantly fragrant way to get rid of these eight-legged terrors.

Good luck to you as you do battle with your eight legged foe!Anyone know a good spider repellent using things around the house?
Hmm, I have never heard of a spider catcher tool. Anyway, I loathe spiders and here is a homemade remedy that has always worked for me. In a spray bottle place 3 cloves of crushed garlic, about 3 cups of vinegar, fill the rest w/water and add a few drops of dish soap. Allow this to sit for 3 days, strain off the garlic and spray doorways, windows, wherever. The smell dissipates quickly and keeps those ';stay outside Pleassse!'; critters away.
This probably isn't an answer you're looking for, as it's not a repellent , but a tool.

I bought this

It's a spider catcher, that caught every spider i have attempted to remove from my home first time.

It's so handy, we get big spiders , so I keep it at the side of my bed.

It's worth every penny!
Home store all carry 10 bucks a jug bug killers. They do a great job. Just read the instructions first before applying it.
Borax 20 mule team cleaner will do it.
