What would happen if you sprayed a mosquito with mosquito repellent? Would it commit suicide?

I don't think so. Mosquito repellents don't act like bug spray. They're not poison to insects. Some repellents work my making your skin harder to sense, sort of like making you invisible to them.

Other types of repellents work by using scents that mosquitoes naturally hate, making them avoid you.

If you did manage to spray a mosquito with the bug spray its wings would get too wet and heavy to move and it wouldn't really like it. You could probably just squash it then.
You might kill them by drowning them. Mosquitoes breathe through something called spiracles, which are small openings in their sides. You might cover up these holes with spray depending on how you sprayed them and they would suffocate.

Above is correct. The repellent masks our 'scent'.
You would cause other mosquitos to be repelled by him, silly. Thus causing the insect to go insane and fly in to a structure killing himself on impact.

Now, how's that silly answer to a silly question?

Mosquito repellent doesn't repel mosquitoes, it just blocks their ability to smell the carbon dioxide you are emitting, which is how they track their targets.
Mosquito repellent only repels the mosquitos I dont think it kills them but maybe irritates the hell out of them : p
i think it would never find another mosquito to mate with.
That would be justifiable homicide.
it would phone the humane society
I don't know. I never thought of that. I'll try it and see what happens.
it flies away
